Meet the Candidate

Introductions

Hello! I want to personally welcome you to my website. To tell you a little about me, I've grown up in this area: born and raised in Bellevue and Issaquah. I'll be graduating from SPU spring 2010 with a double major in Economics and Philosophy and double minor in Classics and Chemistry.

Experience

Since my freshman year of high school, I've helped plan events for my student body, and my senior year, I established a student government for the high school student body and served as President.

My first two years of college, I served on the student government of Bellevue Community College, the third largest college in Washington State with 35,000 students and a $1.6million+ budget.

Since coming to SPU, I've lived on 4th Hill and during my first year, I served as floor representative. Currently, I am the ASSP Executive Vice President, leading the ASSP Senate and assisting the President in addressing student concerns.

Other than that, I've been working with a couple other students on an ecommerce start-up, CarbonCart.com, which we launched last year and have since placed in the Social Venture Competition and the Microsoft Imagine Cup North American Finals. During the summers, I coach a swim team of 250+ children ranging from preschool to high school. Further, I've recently interned at Best Workplaces Institute, a local research-based organizational development consulting firm and workplace rating firm, as well as working as a marketing consultant at a newer Microsoft division. Lately, I've been loving the snow and downhill ski whenever possible.

There's a short bit about me- I would love to meet you and tell you more. Feel free to ping me!
